Overview

 

The System Analyst role will work within the Hard Rock IT department.   The System Analyst is responsible for but not limited to the support, maintenance and implementation of applications.

Responsibilities

  • Steadfastly pushes self and others for results.
  • Monitors and prioritizes own work flow to maximize results.
  • Contributes to system design, development and testing of store systems applications and interfaces required by the organization.
  • Concentrates his/her efforts on the more important priorities.
  • Perform tuning and maintenance of applications and interfaces.
  • Assists with implementations of new applications, upgrades and patches to existing applications.
  • Proactively re-evaluates software processes and procedures to eliminate obstacles for end users.
  • Develop technical documentation in a clear and concise manner.
  • Delivers timely resolution to change control and system updates.
  • Delivers timely resolution to break/fix items that are presented to them.
  • Provides application support to all departments.
  • Anticipate user requirements and makes adjustments to applications as needed.
  • Listens to and supports end users by understanding their business objectives and required outcome.
  • Treats people fairly, with dignity and respect.
  • Communicate regularly with supervisor to ensure priorities of tasks are set and completed efficiently.
  • Ensure adequate training documentation is correct and available for all end users of applications.
  • Adhere to compliance with Hard Rock IT Standards and overall Policy and Procedures.
  • Uses logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to gather and interpret information.
  • Maintains strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations.
  • Solid understanding of business practices with fundamental understanding of project management methodology.
  • Requires excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Qualifications

 

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • University degree in Computer Science or Business Administration required; OR, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Experience working with all parties including staff and customers to resolve problems.
  • 3-4 years POS application and hardware experience, Micros preferred.
  • 3-4 years of progressive, relevant IT experience.
  • 3-4 years of experience in Restaurant or Retail back office applications preferred.

 

SKILLS

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to complete multiple tasks independently
  • Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive/confidential information and to handle such information as required by Federal and State regulations/policies
  • Working knowledge of service desk frameworks such as ITILBasic understanding of concepts relating to data polling
  • Basic understanding of SQL queries
