This position is responsible for the strategic development, direction and implementation of music marketing activities for Hard Rock Hotels and Casinos.  This person is a brand guardian for Hard Rock Hotels and Casinos and drives our musical DNA through program development, understanding and integration across the manifold of Hard Rock stakeholders; corporate support center, property operators and the media.   This person creates an exceptional climate of professional and personable service that ensures the long term satisfaction of employees, guests, artists, clients, owners, and investors.


  • Assist hotel properties with the recruitment and selection of property Vibe Managers.
  • Train property Vibe Managers in essence of job responsibilities.
  • Gather, generate, program, review and approve video content for In-room Hard Rock TV channel.
  • Coordinate updates in music and video distribution systems in conjunction with provider and/or programmers.
  • Monitor, adjust and create local music playlists, adapted to location, time of day and Vibe. Create the Hard Rock corporate guidelines related to hotel and casino playlists, utilizing corporate technology.
  • Create and/or oversee production of Hard Rock proprietary music.
  • Cultivate brand music-partnerships (BEATS, Fender, etc.)
  • Assist in launching new hotels and casinos. Organization of ‘one-off’ events to showcase the individual properties or brand while demonstrating an entertainment industry connection.   Ensure ‘sync’ with leased operations.
  • Assist in copywriting, including web blogging, and copy for music related ads and promotions. Generate, update and edit music portions of materials such as Hotel Style Guide, Investor collateral, materials, Vibe Manual, etc.
  • Conduct guest survey analysis, and industry trend research to evaluate and adjust overall guest experiences and corporate initiatives.
  • Inspect properties by conducting walk-throughs with focus on music, video, temperature, lighting, and scents. Develop programs and make alterations as needed.
  • Work with food & beverage operators to ensure ‘sync’ with hotel vibe.
  • Maintain effective communication, giving direction, support, timely feedback and recognition of performance.
  • Evaluate work procedures, review standards, identify methods for increasing efficiency or effectiveness and respond to any needs that arise.
  • Conduct meetings with staff to communicate Vibe programs, implement new products and procedures, and discuss areas of opportunities, special events, etc.
  • Participate and facilitate in regular property review meetings and annual Global Conference.
  • Research music trends ensuring the brand’s relevance within the music community and mind of the consumers.




  • Any combination of education, training and experience that provides the knowledge, skills and ability to meet the job functions.
  • Charismatic personality with solid music background.
  • Deep understanding of lifestyle hotel products and guest services.
  • Creative and irreverent character who can ‘push the envelope’ on a regular basis.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy.
  • Perform numerical operations using basic counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying or dividing.
  • Use logic to define problems, collect information, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, interpret information and deal with abstract variables for unique or unfamiliar situations.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office)



  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing.
  • Comprehend and use technical or professional language, either written or spoken, to communicate complex ideas.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Multiple language abilities a plus, fluency in English required.
