This individual is responsible for directing the payroll operations for all company-owned and managed Hard Rock entities in the US. 


  • Directs all aspects of payroll operations
  • Designs and implements strategies for continuous improvement in payroll operations
  • Oversees and executes the internal weekly and biweekly multi-state, multi-FEIN payroll processes and procedures
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of all relevant federal/state payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Manages outsourced garnishment process (ADP)
  • Manages outsourced payroll tax process (ADP)
  • Manages third-party pay distribution process (Money Network)
  • Manages E-Verify set-up and compliance
  • Manages ADP iPAY process
  • Manages distribution of w-2 forms
  • Partners with Human Resources to ensure consistent execution of policies and procedures
  • Partners with IT regarding systems interfaces, issues and new projects
  • Investigates and resolves employee payroll issues and payroll system exceptions
  • Manages, develops and trains the payroll staff while maintaining multiple back-ups for all required payroll processing functions
  • Implements new and modifies/removes existing pay groups, pay types and compensation plans as required.
  • Provides training on all relevant pay processes (review, approval, Money Network, ADP iPAY, E-Verify, etc.) to each field location
  • Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment




  • S./B.A. in Finance or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of5 to 7 years of relevant US in-house payroll management experience including multi-state, multi-FEIN and supervisory experience
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills


  • Lawson payroll software experience
  • Restaurant payroll experience (hourly employees, minimum wage, tips, etc.)
  • Experience with E-Verify, ADP iPAY, ADP Garnishments, ADP Tax, and/or third--party pay cards


  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing.
  • Comprehend and use technical or professional language, either written or spoken, to communicate complex ideas.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Fluency in English required.


  • Ability to move throughout the corporate office, and cafes during visits (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists.
  • Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
  • Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hand above shoulders.
  • Ability to occasionally, regularly, frequently move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion.
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment.
  • Ability to travel via auto or airplane for long periods of time.
