Overview

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Policies and Procedures.
  • Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of inventories as well as operations.
  • Controls all of the facilities’ inventories.
  • Plans, studies and collects data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases and inventory in all food and beverage items.
  • Analyzes data obtained and records results using computer systems
  • Analyzes changes in product use or total consumption, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.
  • Analyzes annual purchase costs and prepares periodic report comparing standard costs to actual consumption costs.
  • Monitors the Inventory Purchasing I/P System and managing users, profiles, G/L Accounts, item master, costing, product specifications, companies, division, departments and any other system aspect affecting process flow, cost, reporting and analysis.
  • Monitors the Point of Sale system for all properties as well as related user securities, costing and reporting.
  • Develops and installs cost accounting system.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Hospitality experience required. Bachelors degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three (3) to five (5) years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA’S):

  • Must possess excellent time management skills.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Must possess ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Must possess ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Must possess ability to effectively present information to top management.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Must possess ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Must possess ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
