Responsibilities include providing daily operational support and playing a key role in the improvement & enhancement of warehouse to café logistics operations. Further duties require coordinating and tracking vendor shipment movement through our supply chain to ensure our pre-negotiated freight forwarders are utilized consistently and accurately. Perform detailed spend analysis of transportation spend to understand and eliminate any negative variances from plan.  Ensure both internal and external customer requirements are met or exceeded. 


    • Perform detailed analysis of all transportation related spend to include root cause and permanent corrective actions
    • Route all request for transportation via best method to meet customer expectations of on-time and best cost, including international, memorabilia, franchise and all company department shipments
      • Coordinate all international return shipments
    • Oversight of Transportation and Management System (TMS)
    • Review transportation invoices for accuracy, validating general ledger coding
    • Handle all expediting transportation requests to ensure on time delivery and best cost
    • Follow transportation and routing standard work procedure’s and best practices, review and recommend enhancements as needed
    • Negotiation of carrier rates and applicable contracts, maintain rate schedules and update annually
    • Work with department team(s) on training and continuous improvement
    • Develop and implement standard routing guidelines and requirements for suppliers to include penalties and tracking method for recovery (Vendor Compliance Manuel)
    • Develop KPI for transportation including the net spend / earnings from carrier transportation invoices, able to report monthly spend
      • Breakdown transportation cost as appropriate
    • Report shipment tracking with various tools, portal, TMS develop excel reporting when requested
    • Perform all follow-up on transportation needs that may be in question, late, or have other issues
    • Provide support of small package carrier account (s) administration
      • Negotiate contract (s) for office systems




  • College Degree Preferred or (8-10 years of practical experience in lieu of College degree)
  • 5-10 years progressive experience.
  • Strong communications and organization skills.
  • Detail oriented.



  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing.
  • Comprehend and use technical or professional language, either written or spoken, to communicate complex ideas.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Multiple language abilities a plus, fluency in English required.
