Overview

Supports the Merchandise Development team inclusive of Visual Merchandising/Store Design to execute development and merchandising processes that address global and regional needs.  Which contribute to achieving the budgeted retail sales, cost of sales and inventory goals. This position will serve as the communication/coordination/ and organizational arm of the Merchandise Development team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of the Global Vendor Approval process with the Product Development/Franchise Retail teams.
  • Manage coordination of vendor specification sheets, art work approvals, sample spec kit mail outs to all Franchise approved Global Vendors.
  • Manage and maintain process onboarding new vendor new vendor partners with Product Development team.
  • Manage and maintain Vendor Compliance process with VP Merchandise Development/VP Merchandising teams.
  • Manage coordination of all Vendor specification sheets for merchant teams with Merchandise Administrative Assistant.
  • Manage coordination of art approval process with Product Development and Legal teams.
  • Manage Merchandise Special Request/Merch Idea Submission process with Development/Merchandise/Ops team.
  • Manage sample room organization and archives as needed by Product Development/Visual Merchandise-Store Design team.
  • Assist and Coordinate management of PD vendor files, sample archives and inventory of R&D samples.
  • Assist Product Developers in management and maintenance of all sample specification tech packs working with PD and with vendors.
  • Support and partner with VM/Store Design Manager to execute visual standards and guidelines according to merchandise launches and specific product needs. (I.e. Product Knowledge Sheets, How to Guides, Merchandise Directives, Photo Shoots, Retail Campaigns)
  • Partner with PD team on communication to OPS teams thru the Visual Manager all Fixtures and Signage needs based on product assortments.
  • Collaborate with Merchandise Development team to create new process strategies, targeting efficiencies and expedition of development and merchandising tasks.
  • Partner with Merchandise Administrative Assistant to become proficient in Set up all new styles and style maintenance changes on all sku’s within assigned categories in accordance to PD’s requirements. Preparedness as back up to Admin Asst. role as needed.

Qualifications

MINIMUM

  • Minimum of 3 years of administrative or coordinator experience in retail environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented, High-energy, Self- starter.
  • Proficient compute skills in MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop/Adobe Illustrator.
  • Possess a positive and outgoing personality in order to work with external Vendor partners and internal staff to best represent the initiatives of the Merchandise Development team.
  • Ability to work for several people in meeting their needs.
  • High School Diploma required, 2 to 4 year college preferred.
