Overview

This position is responsible for data management, financial reporting, invoicing, and analysis for the licensed and managed hotel and casino properties as well as online gaming. This role reports directly to finance but interfaces extensively with the Hotel, Casino and Online gaming division management teams.

Responsibilities

BUSINESS RESULTS:

  • Review and analyze all contractual agreements for compliance with US GAAP
  • Prepare accounting memos to support US GAAP accounting conclusions and coordinate with external auditors to ensure conclusions are appropriate
  • Advise finance and operations on accounting of transactions
  • Liaise with finance and operations in respect of budgets and forecasts
  • Develop, implement and disseminate technical accounting policies under US GAAP

  • Review accounting processes and procedures and implement improvements

  • Prepare quarterly and annual information required for external financial reporting and the external audit process for both consolidated and statutory reporting

  • Ad hoc projects as requested

LEADERSHIP & EXECUTION:

  • Periodically review processes and procedures for efficiency and effectiveness

  • Ensure business unit reporting needs are met to develop and monitor the business

LEARNING & APPLYING EXPERTISE:

  • Obtain a thorough understanding of reporting systems and use to improve efficiency, accuracy and timeliness of process and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance
  • Strong US GAAP knowledge, specifically in new revenue recognition and leasing standards
  • CPA preferred
  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience
  • Hospitality industry experience in a financial role is preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication and analytical skills
  • Excellent technical computer skills, including Microsoft suite, general ledger and financial reporting packages
  • Exposure to complex multinational corporate structures
