The Regional Marketing Director-Asia assists in the development, direction and implementation of marketing activities for Hard Rock Hotels and Casinos in the Asia region.  This person helps drive brand awareness and education through various initiatives including PR, advertising, digital marketing, social media and program execution.



  • Drive marketing efforts in the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Lead regional hotel/casino sales & marketing plan development and partner brand education for new properties.
  • Direct, assist and approve the annual Marketing Plan for the hotels in the region
  • Collaborate with the corporate hotel marketing team in the creation of marketing strategies for the overall hotel/casino portfolio.
  • Liaise with brand Public Relations agency to execute press outreach, media events, media calls, collateral, and crisis communications.
  • Assist in the development of corporate marketing/PR materials and toolkits; review materials submitted by individual properties in the region. 
  • Work with the corporate digital team in the development and implementation of digital campaigns for the region.
  • Utilize electronic media as a catalyst for exposure, increased sales and business opportunities.
  • Create and update marketing critical path documents outlining timelines and executions of initiatives for new Hotel & Casino projects.
  • Work with corporate team on the creation and launch of new property sites.
  • Conduct market research for new locations.
  • Prepare monthly marketing report outlining department achievements.
  • Partner with Sr. Creative Director to ensure property regional collateral/advertising follows brand standards, and deliver creative templates promoting Hotel & Casino properties.
  • Conduct Brand Matrix Audits and Property Reviews for properties in the region.


  • Help deliver the marketing campaigns with all key SMART Components (specific/measurable/actionable/relevant/timely) inclusive in the messaging to the Hotels & Casinos community for success.
  • Manage marketing initiatives remotely and with minimal oversight.
  • Assist with execution of media plan to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Help with copywriting and editing corporate/property marketing materials.
  • Drive compliance and understanding of Brand Identity System.
  • Represent the Hotels & Casinos marketing team at marketing, agency and partner presentations.
  • Create program decks outlining objectives, tactics, milestones and timelines for the properties.
  • Upload marketing materials to company intranet/portal.


  • Act as a liaison to the regional Hotel & Casino properties to assure campaigns/initiatives are rolled out in a timely manner and any needed deadlines are met.
  • Drive brand tentpoles/event activation with the property teams to maximize exposure.
  • Work with each Hotel & Casino property in the region and their agencies to ensure marketing and PR tactics align with brand standards, and receive maximum media coverage.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Agency partners to create and execute marketing initiatives that align with marketing strategies.
  • Work with Sr. Director of Marketing to provide tools and support to drive positive financial results.
  • Coordinate and lead  the “All Property” marketing call.


  • Work as a team, helping all employees to complete the required activities that ensure we blow away guest expectations.
  • Partner with the appropriate Support Center areas to facilitate timely and relevant work product to the properties.
  • Operate ethically to protect the image of Hard Rock.


  • Help build market share by thinking of new ways to promote business.  Be an active participant in brainstorming sessions.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with in the business and social community.
  • Attend client functions and designated parties to provide support, ensure guest satisfaction and promote future business.
  • Demonstrate a passion for the hospitality business by actively participating in the innovation and improvements for the guest experience.



  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from a college or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • At least five years of experience in hotel and/or casino marketing/public relations, and the ability to rely upon excellent instincts and substantial experience in a dynamic environment to effectively position the brand.
  • Regional experience and cultural familiarity with EMEA region.
  • Proven capabilities in managing media plans and initiatives in an international organization.  Proven track record with travel/hospitality media.
  • Deep understanding of lifestyle hotel products and guest services.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff.
  • Ability to multitask and manage in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to work independently on projects assigned.
  • Ability to translate brand positioning and attributes into effective marketing communication.
  • Understanding of customer engagement through social channels for brands.
  • Ability to travel via auto or airplane for long periods of time.


  • Multiple language abilities a plus, fluency in English required.
  • Microsoft Office Suite –Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing.
  • Comprehend and use technical or professional language, either written or spoken, to communicate complex ideas.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
