  • Overview

    Under the supervision of the Senior Vice President of Hotels, the VP of Hotel Marketing is responsible for all functions of the marketing division including brand programs, promotions, advertising, creative, public relations, partnerships, social media, direct, digital and database marketing. He or She develops the annual marketing plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives including developing product and market strategies that position the Company to achieve long term growth, while meeting annual revenue and profitability goals. The VP of Hotel Marketing develops innovative ideas and implements sound strategies and tactics to maximize HRH portfolios fullest potential, increase guest traffic to the hotels and ultimately increased sales and revenues.


    • Establish and execute the global Hotel brand marketing plan
    • Prepare, analyze and monitor marketing budgets
    • Protect, celebrate and grow the Hotel brand, enhance marketplace relevance and deliver the brand promise
    • Responsible for the development and implementation of marketing policies, procedures and programs
    • Establish the social media strategy and execution
    • Create integrated brand experience partnerships (and their execution on-property)
    • Develop and monitor brand voice and brand messaging
    • In collaboration with key executives, develop events strategy and execution (Grand Opening Party, etc.)
    • Work with Senior Executives, SVP of Sales and VP of Revenue in developing and managing hotel pricing strategies and structure
    • Utilize and monitor promotions, advertising, media planning, consumer research, multi-tiered communications, traditional and social media tools and all other relevant marketing activities to reach various target audiences in the most effective and efficient manner possible
    • Hire, develop, and retain diverse talent that makes a strong, positive impact on the organization
    • Provide leadership in the development of affiliations, vendor and partnership arrangements
    • Drive and manage digital marketing creation, e-commerce, media planning and production and overall execution
    • Provide leadership and support for the design, development and implementation of hotel offerings, promotions and products
    • Oversee and direct market research, competitor analyses and customer service and retention monitoring processes and initiatives
    • Identify and implement, when and where appropriate, marketing trends, tools and applications specific to the hotel industry and target markets
    • Create, launch, or re-launch plans and strategies for new or existing hotels as needed
    • Support property Directors of Marketing as needed
    • Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times
    • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility
    • Develop department members’ knowledge and skills through education, training, coaching and corrective counseling
    • Conduct personal behavior and select, train, coach, counsel, appraise and retain direct reports who consistently perform actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values
    • Ensure appropriate staffing levels to best manage labor costs while maintaining outstanding guest service.


    • Bachelor degree or equivalent in related field
    • Minimum of 10 years progressive combined experience in 4 or 5-star hotel or hospitality organization, with minimum of 3 years in Senior Marketing leadership role
    • Prior lifestyle branding / brand marketing experience (lifestyle brands)
    • Multi property (hospitality) experience (regional or corporate office) with international exposure
    • Progressive executive career track in brand management and innovation, traditional and digital media, promotions, and communications.
    • Able to make informed business decisions; remain result-oriented when tracking the linkage between marketing techniques and measurable financial results.
    • Demonstrated business acumen including but not limited to analyzing business trends, short and long-term goal planning, budgeting, forecasting and implementing business and strategic plans.
    • Excellent and efficient time management skills and ability to prioritize workload
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff and employees
    • Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form
    • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, clients and vendors as necessary
    • Able to work flexible schedule in order to accommodate business level
