Overview

The Director of Global Sales Operations will play a pivotal leadership role in maintaining and elevating brand standards across the organization. They will work closely with properties to develop and execute strategic sales initiatives, providing expert guidance and support to drive revenue growth. This leader will oversee the seamless opening of new properties, expertly managing the critical path to ensure successful launches. As a subject matter expert, they will serve as a key resource for properties and sales teams in overcoming challenges and maximizing opportunities. Additionally, they will create, own, and continuously refine all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sales, fostering consistency, efficiency, and best practices worldwide. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for excellence and a commitment to elevating the organization’s sales performance on a global scale.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Sales Systems team to ensure peak performance and operational excellence
  • Develop and oversee all sales Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring they are comprehensive, aligned with best practices, and consistently upheld to maintain excellence and operational efficiency
  • Coordinate ongoing research of the industry to detect market trends and related information for the development of new sales strategies. Make recommendations to improve the potential from various markets
  • Assist new properties with building the sales department, working closely with them on a critical path to ensure a smooth and successful launch
  • Collaborate with all properties on revenue maximization and sales strategies
  • Establish and uphold all brand standards with attention to detail, ensuring consistency in every aspect of brand representation
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance; promote a positive work environment for all employees and deliver recognition and rewards. Ensure all employment related processes and documentation are compliant
  • Conduct regular meetings with properties and staff to communicate global programs, implement new products and procedures, discuss areas of opportunities and special events, and review of activities to drive business
  • Standardize and maintain all corporate documents such as but not limited to master agreements, BEOs, Resumes
  • Negotiate master convention sales agreements on behalf of the brand
  • Maintain departmental websites and serve as a key resource for all marketing materials, collaborating closely with the marketing team to ensure consistency and effectiveness
  • Ensure all Hard Rock brand standards and standard operating procedures as well as property policies and procedures, are fully implemented in the department
  • Serve as a dependable resource for all Hard Rock properties and corporate partners
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration skills by actively engaging with all corporate departments to facilitate informed decision-making, fostering a unified approach that drives the company's success
  • Present a professional image to employees, guests, clients, owners, and investors.

Qualifications

  • Degree/diploma in Hospitality Management or Business Administration with a concentration in Communications or Marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides knowledge, skills, and ability sufficient to successfully perform the duties of the position.
  • 15+ years’ experience in hospitality management, including 10 years in a sales leadership role
  • Proven success leading sales functions in a highly competitive urban market.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
