  • Overview

    The incumbent in this position is responsible for executing and supervising daily operations of general maintenance mechanics and managing trades people on assigned shift, relative to corrective, emergency, and preventive maintenance projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Create an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Cafe their dining, shopping and entertainment choice
    • Oversee the supervision of maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment at Hard Rock Cafe.
    • Be hands on, as well as supervise, assign jobs, and ensure timely completion of projects by maintenance technicians
    • Perform routine field inspections on-site and at off-site locations
    • Prepare technical reports and maintain logbooks as required
    • Maintain and apply knowledge of applicable fire, health, safety and environmental standards, as well as relevant state, local, and national codes
    • React in a timely manner with a sense of urgency to emergency situations
    • Coordinate maintenance and modification projects with appropriate departments to ensure minimal guest interruption
    • Instruct and train others as appropriate

    Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS

     

    Job Requirements include:

    • Five (5) + years of experience in commercial / industrial facilities maintenance preferred. One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a hospitality/gaming or high volume environment.
    • Must be at least 19 years old
    • High School Diploma; trade school certificate preferred
    • Proficiency communicating (speaking, reading, and writing) in English, bilingual preferred.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business

    • Demonstrates strong problem solving through ability to diagnose and develop recommended solutions.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Ability to move throughout the corporate office and cafes during visits (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists.
    • Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
    • Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hand above shoulders.
    • Ability to occasionally, regularly, frequently move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 10 pounds.
    • Ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion.
    • Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment.
    • Ability to travel via auto or airplane for long periods of time.
